Esnips Link Generator – How to download Songs from Esnips

Dear Users,
Its been a while since I started blogging. Apart from my other posts, this particular eSnips related post has grabbed more attention from music lovers, even though there are many similar post elsewhere in the internet. I am thankful to all my readers for all the heartwarming response they gave to this post.
But yesterday I got a letter from Logia Media Ltd stating that this post voilates the privacy rights, the copyrights of third parties and makes illegal use of eSnips trade name and marks.
So as of today I am removing this application from this site, but I am leaving this post and the other post about eSnips intact as a memorial.
Thanks again for all your support.
The old tricks are not working anymore.
You can use the download link generator below to generate the esnips download link. At the time I am writing this post the link generator works fine for mp3, wma files. When downloading Mp3 files click on the Mp3 radio button, in case of other media file types choose others.
If you face any problem then plz post a comment or mail me.

Bandwidth Exceeded
If you face bandwidth problem then please try downloading the file after a day or two.
I guess esnips has alloted bandwidths to files and as many people are downloading the same file the alloted bandwidth for that file has exceeded. You can still download other files that have not exceeded their bandwidths ..
So try again later

Thank you for your feedbacks. There was a small error that I have fixed now the generated link works fine as before.

I have modified the link generator. It is working fine for me now. Please empty your browser cache and then refresh the browser to avoid pulling the old generator from your cache.
Please Select MP3 Radio Button. If you face any problem while downloading any file then try to generate and download again. If you are still unable to download the file then please leave a comment with the esnips link that you are trying to download.
Permanent Solution:
Need a permanent solution? Get a good download manager like Internet Download Manager. It will automatically grab the file for you. In fact I use the download manager to find out what is the final URL and then generate the URL using program.

I have finally made a small tutorial on how to download songs from esnips using Internet Download Manager & Video Download Helper. This was my first time making a screecast kind of thing so the video size is larger. I hope its not an issue for you guys or else I have to reencode the video. I made this on a widescreen pc and had no idea what are the best practices for making a video tutorial. Please watch it in fullscreen mode because its a HD video. If you guys have any problem then please post your comments.

If you paste the link in IE it may fireup Windows Media Player. Use FireFox instead.
Another trick .. open notepad and type this:
<a href="the generated url here">Download</a>
Save the file as anynameyoulike.htm
open the file in the browser and right click on the link and click save file as .. choose a save location and click OK ..

You can still get the media player ..
open the esnips songs page then while on that page type this in the addressbar
javascript:makeWMPlayer(”/nsdoc/576a33f6-af0d-40e3-b673-edda3098661b”, true);
and press enter.
you have to get 576a33f6-af0d-40e3-b673-edda3098661b from the song url that you want to download .. it will varry

download songs one by one .. add one link download it then download another one .. I have not downloaded much songs from esnips .. and I have never faced bandwidth problems .. but few days back esnips in his blog posted that they have limited the bandwidth .. so in that case try reseting your internet connection to aquire a new IP address .. I guess that would work

You link generator doesn’t work .. on clicking the generate button it does a coplete post back and then page not found .. to create a generator you can use javascript .. no server side code is necessary …

In a blog post esnips has already told that they have now limited the bandwidth .. and about blocking .. What we are doing is completely legal we are not exploiting esnips .. When you play song from esnips the player downloads the song and plays it .. it consumes the same bandwidth .. by this trick we just save the file and download the song little faster .. thats it

What is the problem with cooltoad?? if you have a valid id then login and it allows you to download .. you cannot download without logging in though
When you login to cooltoad it creates a token for you .. and while downloading the token is pased everytime to the send.php from download.php so before connecting the file it checks for a valid login else redirects you to to the login page ..
But its not a paid service .. so whts the problem sign up and download .
Esnips allows you to play songs thats why there is always a way to download the song without logging in ..

i have the same problem. when i copy the generated url from esnip.exe and try to download it from Download Manager then it just download 30 kb file and doesn’t play media player. i also loggin in before donwload it.

may be esnips has decreased the bandwidth .. because I also notice slowdown in the download speed .. but I dont face any download problem ..
avoid using download manager .. use regular download method ..

When you face bandwidth problem you should try downloading the file later.. after a day or two ..
The bandwidth problem is not understood properly.. people think that they are not allowed because they have downloaded too much from esnips.
Actually the file has been downloaded many times and has reached the maximum bandwidth assigned to that file.
So try downloading that file later

First of all, thanks for creating this EXCELLENT generator!!!
For those who get a 2X or 3X kb file, try copying from the box below the sentence “To link to this file copy and paste the address below:” instead of the address bar in your browser… When I first used it I copied from the address bar’s URL (which, could have different format compared to the required one depending on how you arrive at that page), which gave me a 30kb file that wouldn’t open in Media Player. Then I tried copying from the box below that sentence and it worked perfectly.
To Zuhaib: maybe you can add a sentence in the generator so that people can always copy the correct link.

Only “86e264b6-0774-4e4b-b3a7-b3d7f5bd80f7″ part of the url is important .. Rest of the url is generated by the generator.
and the file id is always same..
If you face the 20/30 KB file problem .. thats just connection problem .. try to download the file again and it will be alright

If your having problems when it goes to the login page do this.

For example at the has it has “?action=ForceDL” Delete that and use that link. It will work.

?action=forceDL forces the file to download rather than rendering it to browser which causes internet explorer to fire up windows media player ..
when you are redirected to the login page just try again and you will succeed .. till now I have never faced such problems ..

It’s cool that i can actually use your generator to d/l flash videos too….but after d/l completes, when i tried to play it, it stops halfway through the video…..even if the file details shows the full-duration of the video. Y is that? Can i do sumting abt it??

you can actually download any file from esnips using this.. if the file that you downloaded is currupt .. then the problem must be with the file .. my link generator has nothing to do with the file .. it just gives you a direct link to the file

About Adsense, you don’t have to worry about how much contents you have. As long as you have enough keyword on this blog ( 3 keywords at least ), your Adsense will be approve. I know. I tried it

i dunno if it’s just me. this time when i tried the generator to download an mp3 file (note: without logging in), esnips directs me to a ‘create account’ page. the only way i can download the file is to log in first and only then can i use the generator to download the file. thanx for the generator

Hi Shekhar,
When I first tried your url it failed for me but on the second attempt it worked. Also Shekhar you need to empty your browser cache .. because by default the MP3 radio button should be selected but you have the other file types radio button selected.
I think esnips is still working on its player widget and this generator will soon be outdated.

Great Job !!!! Still, it seems not be working with esnips url related to files “no longer available on eSnips”, (where the title appears but media player won’t), as a previous version of indianraga did instead. Hope this would help. Bye and thanxx!

Another tip I acknowledged. Even if you remove from the url ready for download the piece /ts_id and the following 13-figures number, the download works as well. Example

Hello Zuhaib, i am still trying to get all this working but hopefully i’ll work it out soon. i just wanted to say a million thanks to you for sharing your Computer knowledge with us all. You are a very very nice person for doing this. i hope we always stay one step in front of ESNIPS. We should be able to record our music anyway. Esnips are just mean for stopping us from downloading and staying on the side of the rich artists. i dont know why Esnips are doing this however as they say they dont allow Copyrited material on their site??? Are you using the latest link generator from this blog or the esnips.exe that you downloaded in the past? make sure you use the generator present in this blog.
Also when any download fails .. Regenerate the link and try again. I am sure it will work .. because it works here

Thank you for the wonderful comment. Esnips should not have removed the download button because people upload songs in esnips so that other can download them.
There was a workaround for storing copyrighted materials on esnips. I don’t know whether it works now a days.

When esnips changes their algorithm then I have update my link generator .. I generator worked b4 now I had to remove the ?action=forceDL from the url .. and now it works ..

Just want to thank you for coming out with this. I was using a website download finder for awhile, but sometime around now, ESNIPS found a way to block it. This is the only working method to downlaod esnips at this time… at least that I have found.

May be they would work .. because the random number in the link is the elapsed time in millisecond .. and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t ..

thats because you are using IE and i have removed the ?action=forceDL which helps download file in IE rather than opening it with the media player ..
?action=forceDL was not working properly so I have removed it .. anyways you may try using any other browser .. may be FireFox?? Safari btw is the fastest browser on windows .. try it

It playes in quicktime because its the default behavior of safari if you have quicktime plugin installed .. so why don’t you install firefox on your mac?

yeah that will work .. but actually its the default behavior of IE to open up windows media player and in FF (if quicktime is installed) to play the file in the browser .. in that case you need to use a different browser or disable the addon ..

When you want to download a song from esnips why do you want to record it?
you dont get the download button in esnips .. thats why you are here .. using this generator you can download any song or any file from esnips ..
just paste the song/ file url and then press generate and then download .. and you are done

when i click the download button the anonymous.to window shows up for a few seconds then after it’s done loading it says, “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”

Someone posted in the esnips forum a long time ago to just delete the name of the song from the url, and add /ts_id/(some random number here)/ns_flash/file1.mp3 and hit enter and it worked. You have flash88.mp3 instead, and the number 1217024020754 is always put in the “random number” spot. What did esnips due so that the “file1.mp3″ doesn’t work anymore? I’m just curious..this interests me.

When downloading the file using “Free Download Manager”, it is saving as unsupported(x).jsp, where x is an integer. However, if I cancel download using “Free Download Manager” and download using Firefox I am able to download the file successfully. It really works!!!! Thanks for writing such a nice code. First of all, thanks a lot for this generator.
Just a lil help i could give to those who have problems with the download, if you are using Firefox or Flock and you can’t get the song downloaded by your browsers, get the add-ons called DownloadThemAll. Install it into your browser.
Then, once you have generated the the download url, just copy the link. Next, do not click on the DownloadThemAll icon, instead choose the Manager. And finally, add the url in and it’ll start downloading the song.
Hope that’ll help.
p/s: Free Download Manager cant download the link though.

hello, zuhaib. u r just great. but u know, there is one another trick to download songs from esnips. this is using the Video DownloadHelper .it is an add-on of mozilla firefox. but your trick is the best. i download songs from imeem or any other site using VideoDownloadHelper add-on. but u know, i can’t download songs from hummaa,raaga or such sites which lets their song only listen, but not in flv format. they only knows about the format of their songs. can u make a generator for raaga or hummaa?

Yes that is one of must have addon for firefox that I always have installed.

You can simply add the rm and ram extension in Video DownloadHelper to download songs from raaga .. raaga plays rm, ram, wma files .. have to check about hummaa though ..

Hi Zuhaib! i tried to add rm, ram and wma extensions. but rm extension already is there. and i added ram. but after adding, when i close the browser and re-open it, i saw that ram has gone. so i again added it. but same thing happened. and i also could not able to play any song from raaga. when the raaga jukebox opened, it showed loading for a long time…but the song did not loaded. may be i am doing wrong somewhere. can u help me? and there is also another new problem. this is-i want to download songs from musicindiaonline.com. but i could not find any tricks. what to do?please suggest me.

Hi Folks,
As suggested by Zuhaib, I tried using the Internet Download Manager and Orbit downloader as well to download MP3 songs from esnips.com. But everytime, the MP3 files have been saved either as a compressed file(in case of Orbit) or as an HTML file(IDM). Please suggest me how can I save them as .mp3 file.
I tried the download link generater method provided in this site, and none of my trails(more than 150) so far have been failed. It’s an awesome way to download songs from esnips!!!

Currently it does not work in Chrome if you click on the download button .. but will work if you copy and paste url on your browser and press enter or go .. I will look into the matter ..

raaga.com streams real media extensions .. add .rm and .ram to the extension list of the video download helper and you should be able to grab the file.

A plugin was causing some problem, but its fixed now. The link generator should be working fine now.

Having a problem? use Internet explorer. just wait until the song is fully buffered in your pc. Click on tools ->internet options->settings->view files then search for file named file88.mp3. Copy and paste it to your Desktop or what ever drive you have..thumbdrive..pendrive…tapedrive..harddrive…but dont drink and drive!!

Google chrome redirects to the esnips page sometimes (almost all the times) .. I think it appends referral address in the request headers

the link dat is generated takes the execution to a page entitled \Acronym to\ or like that.After that the file dat’s downloaded is in Kb’s.

Thanks very much dude. U had sent me an email on my esnips account. At first I thought its some sort of HACKING. But wen i took risk and tried it, i became ur fan. U r an amazing man. I have used ur link many a times. It helped me a lot wen i found my favourite song but not the download option….

the easiest way is open the link use mozilla firefox, wait till it finished buffering,then type about:cache in your browser press enter,copy your cache location to exlorer then search a file that it’s size resembles the song you just opened then rename it rename.mp3
